Amalgamating traditional music therapy research and innovative developments in Neuromusicology and music technology research, has exposed the need for propositional music-based therapies in a fast-changing digital society. Against this backdrop, the scientific application and education of music, faces a new dawn informing clinical practice, application and paradigms of music-based interventions, in light of neuroscientific, technological and societal evolution.
In light of an ever changing society, behaviour and the understanding thereof, has received increasing attention. Not only has our view of behaviour changed over the years, we more so understand that external factors such as the arts and especially music, can have a profound impact. In this interactive discourse, we will venture on the journey through our comprehension of behaviour in a clinical and more importantly music-based therapy and intervention framework.
