Evita Bouwmeester & Hanneke Klaver will put on a Frequency Cookie installation during the Food Friction Art Research Conference. The product designers made three recipes at the bakery Tom van Otterloo where they incorporated the sound as an ingredient.
‘We think a recipe is more complete when the surrounding influences are included.’ tells Evita. ‘Sound has a major influence on how we experience our food. Think about the sound soda makes when you open it; if it doesn’t fizz, it became old.’
